Just to keep you all updated. The new Brive Dordogne Valley airport (15 minutes from us in Souillac) has flights starting to Manchester from May 2011.

Today - the new airport Brive - Souillac!
Voila!! It's open!! A few finishing touches to be made but see the pictures... the airport is now up and running! I went along to have a sneak peak .... and took some photo's for you!

Flights London - Brive/Souillac starting from 25th June 2010!
Yippeeeeeee!!!
It has just been announced that flights can now be booked between London City airport and Brive/Souillac airport from the 25th June 2010 from 59€.

How to get to us in Souillac!
Souillac is situated in the heart of South West France, yet easily accessible from the UK by air, road or rail. Weekend visits are a reality at any time of the year.
Travel Directions to Souillac
BY AIR
Toulouse, Limoges and Bergerac airports are all within 1½ hours drive, Rodez 2 hours, whilst Carcassonne and Bordeaux airports are 3 hours distant. All airports are served by low cost airlines (see below). Car hire is easily available from major rental companies at all airports.
Air France flies from Heathrow to Toulouse and from Manchester to Toulouse
British European flies from Birmingham to Toulouse
RyanAir flies from Stanstead to Carcassonne, Bergerac, Rodez & Limoges and from Liverpool to Limoges
Aer Lingus flies from Dublin to Toulouse
Bmibaby flies from Manchester to Bordeaux
British Airways flies from Gatwick to Toulouse
Easyjet flies from Gatwick to Toulouse
Flybe flies from Birmingham to Toulouse and from Southampton to Limoges, Toulouse and Bergerac
KLM flies from Manchester to Toulouse
What is so important is that the new Brive - Souillac airport is under construction and should be open June 2010! Situated just 20 mins from Souillac!
BY ROAD
The N20 from Paris passes right by Souillac (Exit no 55). The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Calais can be reached in approximately 7-8 hours via autoroute.
BY RAIL
From Gare Austerlitz in Paris to Souillac takes approximately 4 hours. (8 hours from Waterloo, changing at Paris). A TGV service runs from Lille to Brive which is a 20 minute drive from Souillac.
